Network connection for Astell autoclaves using Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 3G/4G.
Astell Scientific is delighted to announce the release of its latest Remote Maintenance/Diagnosis product option. The feature enables secure network connectivity, remote access, and diagnostics on any of its compatible circular or square section autoclaves.
Codenamed ‘RDM101’, the option is available on all new-build sterilizers featuring the latest version Astell colour touchscreen controller. It allows the customer to directly connect the machine to their own network and also provides a fully secure connection between machine and Astell Scientific, for the benefit of software updates, data interrogation and end-user troubleshooting or fault finding.
The system offers three different ways to connect securely to a network. Select from:
- Ethernet cable (direct connection to network)
- Wi-Fi (wireless connection to a network)
- 3G/4G (mobile network, requires a SIM card)
Configuration is a one-time affair at point of order, but also requires additional setup once the machine is delivered, easily completed by the end user. It’s simple enough not to require any specific IT know-how.
Astell spokesperson Dave Thomas commented “The benefits of a ‘connected’ autoclave controller can both simplify workflow and process for the laboratory facility, and enable faster support to minimise down time should a question or issue arise. These benefits become even more valuable when considering our growing international customer base”.
