In order to ensure optimum operation, Astell recommend the periodic blow-down of steam generators, to remove the build up of particulates.
Performing blow-down on a regular basis will elongate the life of the steam generator and its components.
Blowdown is performed at high pressure and as such a suitable vessel is required to accept this high pressure evacuation of the generator. If no such facility is available on site, a Blow Down vessel should be considered.
